Privacy Policy

The short version

MatchRank stores the minimum it needs to run your leagues: your Google name, email address and profile picture, plus the leagues, players and match results you and your league-mates create. We do not sell data, we do not run ads, and we do not share your information with third parties except the services that host the site.

What we collect

• Account details from Google. When you sign in with Google we receive your display name, email address and profile picture. These identify you inside MatchRank and are shown to other members of leagues you belong to.
• League data. League names, player names, team names, match results, ratings and activity history that you or other members enter. If a league owner makes a league public, its name, leaderboard and recent results are visible to anyone with the link.
• Contact messages. If you use the contact form we store the message and the email address you provide so we can reply.
• Technical logs. Our hosting provider records standard request logs such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested. These are used for keeping the service running and diagnosing problems.

Cookies

MatchRank uses a single sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in. It contains a signed token and nothing else. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Your browser's local storage may hold small preferences such as the last tab you opened.

Third-party services

• Google Sign-In handles authentication. Google's own privacy policy applies to the sign-in step.
• Google Cloud hosts the application and its database.

How long we keep it

Your account and league data stay for as long as your account exists. Leagues you own are deleted when you delete them. Contact messages are kept until they have been dealt with.

Your choices

You can delete leagues you own from the league settings page. To remove your account and everything associated with it, or to ask what we hold about you, send a request through the contact form from the email address on your account and we will take care of it.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top of this page will be updated. Continued use of MatchRank after a change means you accept the updated policy.
